I love all of these, more than anything I admire the explorer in you. That kind of terrain would leave me covered in ticks and bites where I live. Makes it tough to want to go out and explore things that deeply.
Thanks! As it happens, we have a shitload of ticks out in the wild here too. That's why for these trips, over-the-ankle boots, long socks, long pants, and tick repellent are an absolute must-have. My wife and kids get them, but I’ve managed to avoid them so far. My oldest son actually caught Lyme disease, but thankfully we caught it early and got it treated. So I totally get the fear.
Oh yeah, we have the highest tick population in Canada where I live. Glad about your kid though, I just choose to shoot from afar. It’s why I got my 135.
